If you request to withdraw your funds without any trading activity since your last deposit, FXTM reserves the right to charge a fee. This fee may be either:
- The equivalent amount of any banking fees incurred, or
- 3% of the total withdrawal amount.
The applicable fee will be deducted from your withdrawal before processing. If you do not have enough funds to cover both the withdrawal amount and the fee, your request may not be processed.
For example, if you deposited $100 and request to withdraw the full amount without trading, you may see the following error: "Sorry, you do not have enough funds." This is because 3% of the withdrawal amount (in this case, $3) will be deducted as a fee.
To help you calculate how much you can withdraw, you can use the following formula:
Fee = Total Balance × 3%
Net Withdrawal Amount = Total Balance − Fee
So, if your balance is $100, you can withdraw up to $97. The remaining $3 will be kept to cover the fee.
Here are a few more examples to guide you:
To calculate a 3% fee, multiply your deposit amount by 0.03 instead of a percentage. This is because 3% is the same as 0.03 when written as a decimal.- Deposit Amount: $200
Fee: $200 × 0.03 = $6
Net Withdrawal: $200 − $6 = $194 - Deposit Amount: $500
Fee: $500 × 0.03 = $15
Net Withdrawal: $500 − $15 = $485 - Deposit Amount: $1000
Fee: $1000 × 0.03 = $30
Net Withdrawal: $1000 − $30 = $970
To avoid this charge, simply place at least one trade before requesting a withdrawal.
