Closing a trading account involves different steps depending on whether it's a live or demo account. Read on to understand the process for each account type:
Closing a Live Trading Account
Our system does not allow the closure of live trading accounts. However, you have the option to archive your live trading account if you wish to stop using it. Keep in mind that archived accounts cannot be restored. To archive your live trading account, follow these steps:
- Log in to your MyFXTM Dashboard.
- In the right-hand menu navigate to the Account overview page.
- Click on the Trading account number
- Look for the 'Archive' option to archive the account.
- Confirm the archive action.
The funds remaining in your archived live trading account will be automatically transferred to your Wallet.
Close a Demo Trading Account
If you want to close your demo account, the process is different. Demo accounts can be deleted, and the associated funds are typically virtual, so there is no need to transfer them to a Wallet. Follow these steps to delete your demo account:
- Log in to your MyFXTM Dashboard.
- In the right-hand menu navigate to the Account overview page.
- Click on the Trading account number
- Look for the 'Archive' option to archive the account.
- Confirm the archive action.
